Seeing Confusing Signs?

Like the crocuses that seem to come to life despite the frost and snow falls, sometimes nature (or our bodies) can send us weird and confusing signals.

Some examples of confusing signals that patients have asked about recently:

  • Why am I hungry right after eating? I felt full!

  • Why is my mind awake at night when my body is so tired?

  • Can you explain why I feel like I am on an emotional rollercoaster even when everything else in my life feels like I am doing okay?

  • Why are my hands and feet so cold while the rest of me is sweating!

If you have lived through some of these signs, or know the answer to some of them, they may not seem as confusing as they do when you have no idea what is going on.

And that is the beauty of hindsight - or at least having someone who can help walk you through why we see one thing but feel another.

And I know I have said this in office, but I feel like I should share it here:

“If we knew everything about the human body, we would be rich.”

Now, that is not to say I know nothing. I’ve got a pretty good idea on a lot of different things and some research to help back it up. But research and our understanding of the body and health is ever evolving, and the more we learn, the more we can help address the weird incongruencies you feel.

But, if you don’t share with us the things you feel and experience, we can’t help answer these questions. So whether or not you feel it is normal or you are experiencing something you think is out of the ordinary, share it with us!

I won’t judge you! I am curious and empathetic and driven to figure out how we can manage it or find someone who can.

So if you feel like you want to talk about some of the things that go on in your body, you can book an appointment below and I would happy to help you figure out a path forward!

In the meantime, If you don’t want to see me in office, but want to ask about some of the confusing signs, send me a message and I will do my best to point you in the right direction!
